Nearpod and Google Slides

This week in the K-2 Tech Enhancements students have been using Nearpod to learn how to be Digital Citizens. If you have never heard of Nearpod, it is a great and easy resource for teachers to use in their classrooms to help engage all students and for each of them to have a voice. One thing that I love is that I can easily edit any Google Slides presentation and embed Nearpod features to make it interactive for students to have access to.

How to add the Nearpod Add- On

As I mentioned before, Nearpod is super easy...and YES...our Kinders did it too! Check out one of the Kindergarten lessons I adapted from Common Sense Media. Another highlight I love is that I can easily share the student's answers on the board or to their devices. This is great way to have students speak on their thoughts and ideas. Don't worry about confidentiality, you can hide student's name before you show their answers! They also have a timer feature which allows students only a certain time to work on the question before it locks their screen!!! :-)

Did you know???

Nearpod and Flocabulary joined forces....make sure you sign up with Flocabulary today with Hurley's code!
